december 17 - the day tumblr’s blanket ban on adult content begins - also happens to be International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers. seems like @staff has made no bones about prioritizing visibility over protecting their community; not only sex workers, but any individual on this platform seeking validation for their body in the face of cultural assault.

in light of this “unfortunate coincidence” i’ll be abandoning ship until tumblr comes up with a more compassionate solution (read: so long, folks). since i won’t see your likes, consider donating to SWOP and voting with your dollar instead. thanks for the past 9 years, don’t @ me again.

Why is there nothing wild in you
to explain it, nothing killing; why

am I the chased thing horrified
to overtake myself in the brush I wonder &

if a deer darts across this road & the dead don’t
take it, don’t the dead wait, don’t I know,

don’t the dead always covet something running?
